• How to earn it:
  • Open a New Account:
    • Apply for a new U.S. Bank Smartly® Checking account online, in branch, or over the phone.
    • Make an opening deposit of $25 within 30 days of account opening.
  • Enroll in Online Banking:
    • Within 90 days of account opening, enroll in the U.S. Bank Mobile App or online banking.
  • Set Up Direct Deposits:
    • Make at least two direct deposits within 90 days.
    • Earn $250 for total direct deposits between $2,000 and $4,999.99.
    • Earn $350 for total direct deposits between $5,000 and $7,999.99.
    • Earn $450 for total direct deposits of $8,000 or more.
    • Receive Your Bonus:
      • The bonus will be credited to your account within 60 days following the end of the month in which you completed the requirements.
• When it expires: 4/17/25

Waive The Monthly Fee

• The monthly maintenance fee can be waived by meeting one of the following criteria:
  • Maintain an average account balance of $1,500 or more.
  • Have an open qualifying U.S. Bank consumer credit card.
