My experience with 1st Bank in Denver has been positive. I qualified for the $200 bonus on 5/24. The bonus was in my account on 5/25.
Horrible bank, horribly experience. Stay away! I got a mailer for this offer in the mail, and decided to take advantage of it by opening an account online. Account was opened, and then I had my partner write me a check from another institution, which I deposited using the mobile app, and it was accepted. However, got called back a couple of days later saying that I needed to go into the branch to show my ID in order to complete the account opening process. I did so, only to be told that my account had been closed because the opening deposit check was not from me, even though it cleared successfully. They didn’t even give me the money back, so now I have to fight to get that back. Avoid this crooked bank!
I called First Bank today and they told me that since I do not live in Riverside County in California (I live in Los Angeles County), I am ineligible for this bonus.
