Details
Both Delta and United have announced that they will increase the price of CLEAR membership as follows:
- Cardholders with no status: $179 for CLEAR membership (previously $119)
- Cardholders with Silver/Gold/Platinum & Amex cardholders: $149 for CLEAR membership (previously $109)
- Cardholders with top-tier status: Free CLEAR membership (previously also free)
The increase in pricing is expected to take effect from 2/1/23.
American Express Green recently increased CLEAR membership to $189, without the ability to add a companion. Previously, a single membership was priced at $119 through Delta or United and you could add a companion for $60.
CLEAR is a registered traveler program that allows members to quickly verify their identities at touchless, biometric security kiosks.
Bottom Line
If you want to take advantage of the old pricing for CLEAR membership, make sure to purchase it before February 1, 2023.
