  • Open a New Xtraordinary Checking Account: Between February 5, 2024, and May 5, 2024, initiate the process of opening an Xtraordinary Checking account with Connexus Credit Union.
  • Use Promo Code: During the application process, ensure you apply the promo code CHECKING200 to be eligible for the bonus.
  • Enroll in eStatements: Opt for eStatements to not only meet the bonus requirements but also contribute to environmental conservation.
  • Complete 30 Qualifying Transactions: Within the first three months of account opening, make at least 30 qualifying debit card transactions. These include everyday purchases such as groceries, gas, and dining out.
  • Understand the Fine Print: The offer is exclusive to individuals who do not currently have, nor have had, a checking account at Connexus after January 1, 2023. It’s also limited to one bonus per member and subject to change or termination.

Waive The Monthly Fee

This account has no monthly fees but there is a $5 inactivity fee if there’s no activity in 90 days (you can avoid this by transferring a penny over to/from another account, such as a Savings).

• Offer applies to individuals age 18 or over who open an Xtraordinary Checking account between 2/5/2024 and 5/5/2024.
• Offer is not valid to Connexus members with any type of checking account currently open at Connexus or those with a checking account that was closed after 1/1/2023.
• Offer limited to one $200 bonus per member.
• Offer subject to change or termination. To earn the $200 bonus, you must apply promo code CHECKING200 at the time of application, enroll to receive eStatements, and make 30 qualifying debit card transactions within the first three months of account opening.
• Accounts must be open for at least three months to qualify for the bonus. Qualifying debit card purchases include in-person and online net point-of-sale merchant purchases; examples include grocery, gasoline, shopping, and dining.
• Non-qualifying transactions include money order purchases, ATM transactions, and peer-to-peer fund transfers (such as transfers via PayPal, Venmo, and Apple Cash).
• The $200 bonus is subject to income tax reporting and will be credited to your account within 10 business days after the three-month anniversary if the stated requirements have been met.
• To receive the bonus, the Xtraordinary Checking account must be open at the time the bonus is credited.

Our Take On the Bank Offer

They had a $250 offer that expired but we haven’t seen that deal come back and its been a couple of years. So if you’re interested in opening an account with Connexus, I wouldn’t wait for the offer to be better.
