Founded in 1935 to serve employees, retirees and families of Employer’s Mutual in Wausau, Wisconsin, this credit union had its named changed to Connexus in 2003. Connexus Credit Union serves members across all 50 states.
Residents of all 50 states can join Connexus Credit Union, but their physical branches are in Minnesota, New Hampshire, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Membership in Connexus Credit Union is open to anyone through becoming a member of the Connexus Association with a $5 donation. Membership is also open to the following: (1) members of the communities of Golden Valley, Crystal, Brooklyn Center, Hopkins, Minneapolis, New Hope, Robbinsdale, St. Louis Park in Minnesota, Dover or Portsmouth in New Hampshire, Fairfield or Cincinnati in Ohio, Rothschild, Schofield, Wausau, or Weston in Wisconsin; (2) employees and retirees of Honeywell, Liberty Mutual, TSI Incorporated, Convergys, Cincinnati Bell, ATK, Aspirus Inc, or Aqua Finance. While Connexus doesn’t offer competitive rates with their Savings account, their Money Market rates do a bit better.
