The BMO Platinum Rewards Mastercard has an offer for 25,000 bonus points when you spend $2,000 within the first three months (ways to meet this spending requirement). According to BMO, this welcome offer is worth over $300 when you redeem for travel awards. See our list for more travel credit cards.
A barebones travel rewards card, the BMO Platinum Rewards card offers double points on gas and groceries, but only on up to $2,500 in combined purchases every quarter. It’s a good fit if you’re a light to moderate spender in those two bonus categories.
Unfortunately, not everyone is eligible to apply. The BMO Bank Platinum Rewards card is available to residents of eight states where the bank operates.

Bottom Line
The rewards program seems decent, especially with 2 points per $1 spent on eligible gas and groceries, up to $2,500 each calendar quarter.
For other purchases, you’ll earn 1 point per $1 spent, which is pretty standard. It’s nice that they offer a 10% anniversary bonus on points and a 25,000 bonus point incentive for spending $2,000 within the first 3 months.
One big advantage is that there’s no annual fee. Additionally, you’ll have access to exclusive experiences through Priceless Cities, which could be interesting if you enjoy special events.
Another expected feature is that the card is compatible with popular mobile payment systems like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
They offer some additional perks like Cellular Wireless Telephone Protection (up to $400 in coverage) and Master RoadAssist Roadside Service for emergencies on the road.
