BlackBird takes an Uber-like approach to flying on private planes. Pilots offer their planes and skills on the BlackBird platform. When you book a BlackBird flight, you and whoever else on your flight are basically leasing the plane and route from the pilot for a short period of time.

BlackBird Routes
Most routes are focused on the West Coast of the United States. Almost all advertised flights center around the Los Angeles metro area and the San Francisco Bay Area. Destinations include Carlsbad, Mammoth Lakes, Monterey, Napa Valley, Palm Springs, Sacramento, San Diego, Santa Ana, Santa Barbara, Truckee/Lake Tahoe.
BlackBird also offers a few routes on the East Coast, Manhattan to Boston, East Hampton, Martha’s Vineyard and more. Other destinations include Chicago, Philadelphia, Portland (ME), Richmond (VA) and Washington D.C.
You can book non-advertised routes, but these are usually much more expensive.
BlackBird Pricing
There’s no set pricing for BlackBird flights, as they vary day to day, by route and by plane. But in general, shorter routes, less luxurious planes at off-peak times are cheaper.
