The American Express EveryDay Preferred credit card has 15,000 Membership Rewards bonus points as an introductory offer when you spend $1,000 within the first 3 months (ways to meet this spending requirement). I value these 15k points at around $300. It’s not the best bonus available compared to other cards with similar annual fees.
Offers change often for this card, and we’ve seen it range from 15,000 to 25,000 bonus points lately. It depends on their marketing at any given time. Generally, the best offer can be had by going directly to the American Express website.
The Amex Everyday Preferred lets you earn higher rewards at supermarkets and gas stations. It’s a solid option if you spend heavily in these two categories. Rewards are in the form of Membership Rewards points, which are some of the most valuable in the industry.
With a $95 annual fee, there’s no shortage of good rewards card competitors to choose from.
The Preferred version comes with a bonus if you make a certain number of purchases within a billing period. Earn a 50% bonus on points if you make 30 or more purchases during one statement cycle.
With the monthly bonus, you’ll essentially be earning:
- 4.5X points at supermarkets
- 3X points at gas stations
- 1.5X points everywhere else
That’s incredible earning potential. All you have to do is make approximately one purchase with your credit card every day.
