Select American Express Platinum cardmembers are reportedly receiving a $100 gift card as an appreciation gift.
Lucky card members receive an envelope that reads, “In appreciation of your Card Membership, here’s an exclusive gift for you”.
American Express has surprised cardholders with unexpected appreciation gifts in the past. Some of these gifts include:
- Amazon Echo devices
- Vincero Watches
- Ippolita gift card
- Nordstrom gift card
- John Hardy gift card
- Peter Thomas Roth gift card
- Master & Dynamic gift card
It is unknown what criteria Amex uses to select what gifts to send and who gets the gifts.
